Legion Paris Vendôme, the story
On June 4, 2022, we moved to a new boutique located at 5 rue du Marché Saint-Honoré 75001 Paris, 190m from the luxurious Place Vendôme.
After three years in our little studio in the 9th arrondissement of Paris, at the foot of the Montmartre hill, and two years of pandemic and successive confinements, it became vital for us to breathe new energy into LEGION Paris .
That's why in May 2021 we began prospecting for the rare pearl that would be able to accommodate our workbench and our new vision of LEGION Paris. We were looking for premises with soul and an exceptional location, close to Place Vendôme and the luxury boutiques. But we also had to think about the fact that this challenge was taking place in a post-Covid context that was not easy at all. Imagine a disaster-stricken Paris with hundreds of stores closed, even in the most beautiful areas! Without knowing if the situation would be favorable to us afterwards, we decided to try the adventure, to invest and to believe in our future, to take the risk of going radically upmarket in terms of location but also to seriously upset our economic balance.
At the end of 2021, we finally found the perfect place and, after long negotiations to convince the owner to rent us this place which is usually reserved for big and prestigious brands, we managed to sign an agreement.
In April 2022, we signed the deal and started work on the same day! In record time we were able to transform this soulless former vintage clothing store into the perfect environment for Legion, a place that originally had nothing very charming about it...
With the help of our architect we made it a place that reflects our image, raw and cinematic. We completely undressed the place, removed all the coverings, veneers and false ceilings. With delight we could watch our future cocoon regain its original colors and reveal its true personality: pillars made of massive blocks of cut stone, a dizzying height under the ceiling and walls made of natural stone rubble.
We simply added the industrial elements we needed to light the place and work comfortably. Our beloved 19th century workbench was returned to its central place in the store, and our friends at Coalraw custom fabricated raw steel display shafts anda cage for the outdoor display case.
On Saturday, June 4, we closed the curtain on this new page in the history of LEGION Paris, after many setbacks and only a few hours after emptying the last boxes.
