The workshop

In the beginning, in 2016, we created Legion in a private workshop "en étage" in the 5th arrondissement of Paris. Eager to get in touch with our clients quickly, we opened our own workshop-boutique in the north of the 9th arrondissement of Paris in 2018 at the foot of the Butte Montmartre. This choice is explained by the fact that we love and know the "Trudaine-Martyrs" area very well, but also because we know that most of our clients appreciate it, and rightly so, as much as we do.

In a small space, where we have built an intimate place with a minimalist and brutalist style, we work with passion and precision to create jewellery that has a "soul". In line with the ancestral knowledge of fine arts and traditional crafts, we made the choice from the start that each piece of jewellery should be a work of art, entirely handmade in our workshop here in Paris.

We work every day on an antique workbench signed "Dujardin" from the end of the 19th century, impossible not to see it if you come to the shop because it is right in the middle! Lucie received it as a gift from the owner of a famous workshop in the Rue de la Paix when she left her job there to create Legion with Angela. Our tools are in evidence too, we use old tools that have known many hands before ours, we buy them whenever possible from former jewellers who are retiring, as a handover.

In this workshop-boutique where we are happy to welcome you from Monday to Saturday, we renovated everything ourselves. It was an old vintage furniture shop that had been closed for several years. We brought the place to life, made a zinc cage to secure the shop window in which we created concrete steles, renovated and repainted everything from floor to ceiling, taking care to reveal when possible the original charm of this old place like the rough stone of the pillars. We also made the long display cabinet with oxidised steel doors from scratch to our own measurements. The reception table in black marble and raw steel, as well as our showcase of precious rings and the illuminated ogive of the showcase were custom-made by a Swiss locksmith, a long-time friend.

As you will have understood, entering Legion is really being welcomed into the intimate universe of the two creators, Angela and Lucie.
