Médée is a handcrafted rose gold ring with a unique design. It features a voluptuous oval cabochon of highly included unheated tanzanite. Its color ranges from mauve to lavender-blue with golden highlights. It is set with 2 gray diamonds, 2.5mm. The body of the ring is irregular in width and shape. It takes on an organic texture where the tool marks are still present, while the stone's setting appears torn.

Central stone information: Unheated purple Tanzanite very included. Oval cabochon size 12x10mm, 6.80 carats. From Tanzania. This elusive stone is very pleochroic, which means that it changes color depending on the angle in which you look at it.

The diamonds come from one of the most reputable diamond dealers in London and are guaranteed "conflict free".

Medea is the first tragedy of the writer Pierre Corneille. Written in 1634, the play is set in Corinth. The heroine, the magician Medea, is madly in love with Jason to whom she will give two children. But Jason spurns her with Creuse, the daughter of the king of Corinth, Creon. Later, Creon agrees to the marriage of his daughter to Jason. Mad with rage, Medea accomplishes her revenge by burning Creuse and Creon with an enchanted dress. The last act ends with Medea fleeing on a chariot pulled by two dragons.
